At Hillwoods School, we believe that physical fitness is an integral part of a well-rounded education. Each morning begins with a structured Physical Training (P.T.) drill, followed by dedicated game periods that encourage students to engage in various sports activities.
Our school boasts well-maintained playing fields for Football, Kho-Kho, Throwball, Cricket, Archery, Basketball, Skating, and Badminton. Additionally, students participate in indoor games such as Chess, Karate, and Table tennis, ensuring a diverse range of physical activities.
Expert Coaching and Competitive Spirit Our team of qualified and experienced coaches supervises all sports and physical education programs. To instil a spirit of healthy competition, the school is divided into four houses, which compete in inter-house matches across different sports. This fosters teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students.
Emphasis on Athletics Special emphasis is placed on athletics, particularly track and field events, including high jump, long jump, javelin throw, shot put, and sprinting. These activities not only enhance physical endurance but also cultivate determination and resilience.
Holistic Development through Yoga and Aerobics Recognizing the importance of overall well-being, yoga is introduced from Class I onwards to strengthen both the mind and body. Aerobics is also integrated into the curriculum to improve flexibility, coordination, and cardiovascular health.
